Blue Apron

One of my anniversary gifts this year was a subscription to Blue Apron.  I had mentioned it once to my husband and he made a mental note (he’s good at that) and got me a subscription.

Basically, it’s a box of food sent to your house once a week.  Inside are ingredients for 3 meals for 2 people.  There are different meal plans to accommodate families, but this is the plan that suits us.

Also included are detailed recipe cards.  So you still have to do all of the prep work, chopping, mincing, frying, and COOKING of the food.

But everything is all right there for you and spelled out on the recipe cards and the recipes are DELICIOUS.  And it’s stuff I would NEVER make on my own.  The food is fresh, organic, grass fed beef, etc.  All that good stuff.  Plus, it’s in the right proportions…no waste!

The portion sizes are good.  I’ve yet to be able to finish a meal.  So I plan to make these meals stretch and lately I’ve been immediately dividing my plate in half and saving the rest for lunch the next day.

We have been super pleased with Blue Apron so far.  It's always exciting to get a new box of goodies each week and it is WONDERFUL not to have to meal plan anymore!

One Per Year - 2016

I did a post last year about my ‘One Per Year’ Coach bags.  There is a Coach outlet in Santa Fe and I get one new bag per year.  But, there MUST be a sale and I MUST have a coupon.  They usually always have some kind of sale going on and I get the coupons sent to me.  So I get at least 50% off of the already marked down outlet price.

This time though, the entire store was 50% off because of Mothers Day, and I had a 20% off coupon to use on top of that.

I had thought a lot about the kind of bag I wanted and I decided I wanted a black or brown bag that was larger than the kind I usually get.

Oh, how things change.

I’ve loved bags for so long that I know within about 5 seconds whether or not I love one or not.

And when I walked into the store the first bag I saw was this pink tote.  I am not a ‘pink’ person….I don’t wear pink usually, I’m not a girly girl, I don’t have pink things.

But I LOVED LOVED LOVED this color.  But I wasn’t crazy about the tote style bag.  So I kept looking and then my husband pointed out another style of bag that was the exact same color as the tote.

It was love at first sight.  It was a larger bag than I usually get, but smaller than the first tote, and it was the same pink color I loved.

I also got a wallet.  I actually gasped when I first spotted it and it’s bright green color.  As one of the girls in our hall said ‘It’s like a watermelon!’ when she saw my wallet with my pink bag.  :)

It is my favorite for sure.  I love it and don’t regret the pink choice at all.  And so far, it is has been my most complimented Coach bag ever!  I think it’s just so noticeable because of the color ha ha.
