Anniversary #6

On April 24th, we celebrated our 6th anniversary!!  Actually, we celebrated the whole weekend.  It was so nice!

Saturday morning we went to Breve, a new creperie downtown:

I also picked up our anniversary cupcakes (it's tradition!).

We took it easy the rest of the day.  My husband wasn't feeling good so we stayed at home and relaxed, which was just fine!

On Sunday, we left for Santa Fe and headed straight to the Outlet mall.  We hit Coach, Under Armor, Nike, and the kitchen store.  It was nice and not very crowded.

Then we went to the Georgia O'Keeffe museum.  The museum is partially closed, they are working on a new exhibit.  But we got to see some of it, and then we took a private tour of the research center and library.

Take time to look:

It was really cool...we got to see some of her sketches and her tools and materials that she used to paint.

I picked up these two prints at the gift shop.  They are framed now and are hanging in our bedroom hallway:

After that, we had a late lunch and then on our way back to Albuquerque we stopped for dessert at the Range Cafe:

It was a great anniversary.  The years just keep flying by!

Four Corners

So much to blog about!  I'm trying to get caught up this week.

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I and two of our friends' kids went to Farmington, NM.  My husband and one of the kids had an assembly part there.  We decided to go up a day early to explore a little bit.

It's about 3 hours away.  We kept ourselves busy on the way up by taking pictures, talking, and picking the M&Ms out of the trail mix.

After we checked in to our hotel, we hit the road again.  Our first stop?  Four Corners.  Where New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah meet.  The monument is on an Indian Reservation and is pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

There are some beautiful views though.

After we looked around a bit we headed to Durango, Colorado.

But first we passed Shiprock:

We drove around Durango for a bit and then found a great place for some Mexican food and fried ice cream.

Then we headed back to Farmington for the night.

The next morning we got ready and went to the assembly.  The boys did great on their part!

As soon as their part was over, we went back to the hotel to pack up.  Ah....the shenanigans of 14 year old boys:

Made from blankets, towels, and a roll of toilet paper.  Ha ha.

Then we drove home!

It was a great trip and the weather was perfect.  I'm so glad we went!
