Four Corners

So much to blog about!  I'm trying to get caught up this week.

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I and two of our friends' kids went to Farmington, NM.  My husband and one of the kids had an assembly part there.  We decided to go up a day early to explore a little bit.

It's about 3 hours away.  We kept ourselves busy on the way up by taking pictures, talking, and picking the M&Ms out of the trail mix.

After we checked in to our hotel, we hit the road again.  Our first stop?  Four Corners.  Where New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah meet.  The monument is on an Indian Reservation and is pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

There are some beautiful views though.

After we looked around a bit we headed to Durango, Colorado.

But first we passed Shiprock:

We drove around Durango for a bit and then found a great place for some Mexican food and fried ice cream.

Then we headed back to Farmington for the night.

The next morning we got ready and went to the assembly.  The boys did great on their part!

As soon as their part was over, we went back to the hotel to pack up.  Ah....the shenanigans of 14 year old boys:

Made from blankets, towels, and a roll of toilet paper.  Ha ha.

Then we drove home!

It was a great trip and the weather was perfect.  I'm so glad we went!
